Sometimes musical synergies exceed the standard formal ensembles and create an unusual combination of musical instruments that inspire curiosity and bring fresh sounds to our stages. One such combination is composed of three outstanding Slovenian musicians who joined in 2014 and successfully perform ever since. The ensemble consists of the flute player Eva-Nina Kozmus, the winner of the Eurovision Young Musicians competition in 2010, so far the only Slovene, which won this important title, the cello player Karmen Pečar, who placed third in the same competition in 2002, who before that at the age of thirteen performed Elgar’s Cello Concerto with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and shone as one of the brightest musical talents in Slovenia, and Mojca Zlobko Vajgl, known as Slovenia’s leading harpist with a rich international career.

Although there are not a lot of written original compositions for the ensemble of flute, cello and harp, the musicians have chosen such compositions from the rich world music repertoire for the concert in Nova Gorica, which by nature, colour or simply by the right feeling sound naturally also in their trio.
