The Nova Gorica City Art Gallery, one of the main exhibition centres for modern visual arts in the Primorska region, displays works of younger, as well as accomplished artists. The 23rd exhibition season will showcase the latest works of selected Slovenian artists and will offer insight into the most recent developments in visual arts. The exhibitions do not follow a narrow scheme or theme, but are rather based on a complex and wide quality-based approach to Slovenian and foreign art creations. We are trying to focus the selection of our art collections and exhibition programmes on contemporary and multimedia art in order to make a significant contribution to the Slovenian art scene.

The rich exhibition and teaching programmes, lectures and various accompanying events, linking various generations and educational institutions, are aimed to turning our gallery into a venue for research, discovery and accepting an array of different approaches to contemporary visual arts. Join us in the fascinating world of visual arts that covers many already familiar concepts, while at the same time leaves plenty of room for one to discover the myterious unknown.
