ART COLLECTION
Nova Gorica City Art Gallery art collection
In 2000, we started, quite spontaneously at first, to form our own art collection alongside our exhibition activity. Later on, the collection became a carefully planned activity that encompases works of established Slovenian and foreign artists, who have exhibited their creations at our gallery. The collection is growing alongside our exhibitions and is currently focusing mostly on paintings belonging to artists that established themselves in the second half of the 1990s. It is increasingly gaining relevance among Slovenian and foreign institutional circles. The collection exhibits the works of contemporary Slovenian artists, who have with their own authentic artistic expression convincingly reflected the time in which they were created.
