At the second musical encounter at the castle the audience will witness a dialogue between a string quartet and a piano. The quartet, comprising Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra violinists Žiga Faganel and Oliver Dizdarević, solo violist Aleksandar Milošev and cellist Alja Mandič, who is a member of the Zagreb philharmonics, will be joined by distinguished pianist Mariko Sudo.
Žiga Faganel says: "Collaborating in chamber music is very important for every musician. It demands expert musical knowledge and understanding and the ability to adapt to each other. This is even more important for string quartets where the ability of each performer is exposed. After all, it is of great importance that members of an orchestra are able to blend in harmony. Playing chamber music raises the quality of individual performances, as well as of the entire orchestra in which these musicians participate." If you would like to see how the fusion of strings and piano sounds like, come and see for yourself. Undoubtedly, the concert programme promises it will be a wonderful chamber night.
