100 years ago, in 1921, the famous composer and accordionist Astor Piazzolla was born in Argentina. He is considered the founder of the musical style tango nuevo, a unique way of composing that combines elements of Argentine tango, jazz and classical music. We will pay tribute to the great Argentine composer at the 4th subscription concert, where the works of Astor Piazzolla will be recreated by members of the Ensemble ChamberJam.
The quintet is composed by the Argentinian bandoneonist, composer and arranger Marcelo Nisinman, Daniel Rowland who is a Dutch-English violinist, great soloist, chamber musician and pedagogue, the Ukrainian pianist Natacha Kudritskaya, a great pianist, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician, Zoran Marković, double bass player and former head of double basses of the Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra, pedagogue and great innovator, and the Italian guitarist Alberto Mesirca, three times winner of the “Golden Guitar” prize and fond researcher of both ancient and contemporary music. This quintet is the fusion of energies, ideas, impulses. They have toured extensively around Europe and performed at the most prestigious venues and festivals. The music they play is related to the art of Tango – from its origins, through the developments of the Tango Nuevo of Astor Piazzolla and his contemporaries to this day, presenting new compositions of Marcelo Nisinman, who incarnates and brings on a tradition, taking it to a new level. According to music reviews received by the ChamberJam ensemble, we can expect an explosive concert.
