The fourth season of Castle Harmonies will be opened by violinist Nadežda Tokareva and pianist Aleksandra Pavlović, who will perform for the first time together in Nova Gorica.

A soloist of the Moscow State Academy Philharmonic and laureate of many important international competitions, Nadežda Tokareva was born in Penza, Russia. Apart from giving concerts across Russia and the world (Europe, Japan, Korea, America, etc.), she also regularly participates in international festivals. In the 2011/12 season she became a concert musician of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Slovenian Radio and Television. She has been teaching violin at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow since 2002. Her performances feature on many records. The artist shows considerable individuality, nobility, wideness, beautiful sound, marked virtuosity and the capacity to best express the author's idea and clearly convey to the listener the main idea of the piece.

Aleksandra Pavlovič graduated with distinction from the P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow in 2002 in the class of Prof. Lev Naumov. In 2004, she completed hear post-graduate programme with Prof. Vladimir Viardo and Prof. Andrei Diev. She played at important concert venues in Salzburg, Venice, Moscow, Ljubljana, Maribor, Nova Gorica, etc. either as a soloist or as a member of chamber orchestras. She has won numerous awards in national and international competitions. She cooperates as chamber musician with renowned artists from Russia, Slovenia, Italy and Croatia. She also works as a teacher, lecturer and creator of innovative educational programmes.
