9th International Saxophone Competition and Festival
For the 22nd year in a row, Nova Gorica will once again be the gathering point of young sax players from Slovenia and abroad. The international meeting is gaining a higher profile year after year among sax players and lovers. The 2018 edition will once again have a festival side and the 9th International Saxophone Competition. Led by Art Directors Matjaž Drevenšek and Boštjan Simon, accomplished saxophone players from around the world are convened to Nova Gorica to contribute to the varied and rich programme of the festival. The concerts in and around Nova Gorica will offer us the chance of listening to the sound of saxophones in an array of different genres from classics to jazz and other styles that reveal its expressive capabilities.
