SAXGO19 WORKSHOPS

CLASSICAL AND JAZZ SAXOPHONE WORKSHOP &
IMPROVISATION MASTERCLASS

The International Saxophone Meeting in Slovenia – SAXGO19, will host an eight-day festival, a workshop aimed at classical saxophonists, a workshop aimed at jazz saxophonists and a improvisation masterclass. The events will take place between Tuesday 25 June and Saturday 29 June 2019 in the Nova Gorica Music School, which is, alongside the Saksofonija Music Society, the co-organiser of the meeting. The participants are responsible for their own accommodation arrangements; however, we can recommend the Sabotin Hotel in Solkan, the Nova Gorica Student Hostel and the Siesta Hotel in Kromberk, with reduced prices for SAXGO19.

The three-day saxophone workshop, aimed at classical saxophonists, will take place from 25–27 June under the mentorship of Jan Gričar and Nicolas Arsenijevic, and the three-day saxophone workshop, aimed at jazz saxophonists, will take place from 26–28 June under the mentorship of Jure Pukl. In addition to both workshops, we are extending the invitation to join the one-day improvisation masterclass, led by Evan Parker on Saturday 29 June 2019. The masterclass will be held in English.

The application fee for the three-day workshops is €90 and €30 for the improvisation masterclass. At the end, the participants of the workshops and the masterclass will receive a certificate of participation.
