The second concert will be all about minimal or “repetitive” music, presented to the audience by two established ensembles: the piano duo Gorišek-Lazar and the Zagreb Saxophone Quartet.

The piano duo Gorišek-Lazar brings together two outstanding Slovene musicians, both winners of the Prešeren Fund Award: Bojan Gorišek, the leading Slovene contemporary pianist, and Milko Lazar, one of Slovene most versatile musicians (composer, pianist, harpsichordist, saxophonist and jazz musician). Their music is a mix of contemporary chamber music, improvisation and jazz, written mostly by Milko Lazar specifically for this ensemble.

The latter also dedicated a number of songs to the Zagreb Saxophone Quartet - Dragan Sremec (soprano saxophone), Goran Merčep (alto saxophone), Saša Nestorović (tenor saxophone) and Matjaž Drevenšek (baritone saxophone). The quartet will celebrate venerable 30 years of performing with present members in the 2018/2019 season. The internationally acclaimed ensemble performs throughout Europe, USA, Canada, South America, and Asia, and has received many awards for its artistic work.
