This autumn, we will experience the transformation and rebirth of the Days of Early Music Festival, which will take place between Nova Gorica and Goriška brda. Now in its sixth edition it has been renamed as Flores Musicae with the mission to revive Renaissance music. The artistic director of the festival is a great Slovenian guitarist and lutenist, Bor Zuljan, MA in guitar, lute, medieval music and music pedagogy at the Haute école de musique de Genève. At the moment, he teaches in Geneva and performs all over the world.
A masterclass for lute and guitar, as well as for other instruments, and many different musical events will be held alongside concerts.
Improvizacija je bila razširjena praksa med renesančnimi glasbeniki. Tako kot so pevci v skupinah improvizirali kontrapunktske skladbe (super librum), so glasbeniki na polifona glasbila, kot so lutnje, harfe in instrumenti s tipkami, razvijali tehnike, ki so omogočale improvizacijo kontrapunkta v glasbenih oblikah fantasia ali ricercar, ki bosta tudi v središču tega štiridnevnega mojstrskega tečaja. Udeleženci bodo imeli priložnost eksperimentirati s tema dvema glasbenima oblikama z različnih perspektiv pod mentorstvom specializiranih strokovnjakov s tega področja v idiličnem okolju renesančne Vile Vipolže.
