Competition, Festival and Masterclasses
For the 20th year in a row, Nova Gorica will once again be the gathering point of young sax players from Slovenia and abroad. The international meeting is gaining a higher profile year after year among sax players and lovers. The 2016 edition will have the 8th International Saxophone Competition, a festival side and master classes with eminent teachers. Led by Art Director Matjaž Drevenšek, accomplished saxophone players from around the world are convened to Nova Gorica to contribute to the varied and rich programme of the festival. The concerts in and around Nova Gorica will offer us the chance of listening to the sound of saxophones in an array of different genres from classics to jazz and other styles that reveal its expressive capabilities.
